So, the portcullis of horn durath (the lil cash area nw of shadowkeep) are
tiger-pickable. This is something that is pretty widely known, but I wonder
if wizzes intended for tigers to keep others from getting in the area.
Basically someone (over the years) often locks the portculli and then gets in
via spider gate or whatever....just curious if someone could make the
portculli unpickable. Not a big deal but, shrug...

Or rather yet , remove the tiger guild completely , then noone could pick any
locks?

just my two cents

How about giving merchant pick locks skill to 70%. They could sell this
product to people. They could actually have this, since they are creating
locks too!

I like Grimpold's idea, but having the same skill level as a tiger, I disagree
with.

I agree, it should be higher as merchants are craftsmen and should be much
more knowledgable about how locks work. However, there should be limitations
to it, such as not being able to pick a pcity door without the owner present
and/or in party.. we don't need anymore bloody thieves imho.

Honestly, if someone wants to raid, they won't choose merchants. Merchant
would be waste of space in the party. Tigers currently can do the lock picking
quite well and they are also useful while fighting.
But yes, i can see the problem with suspicious skill and trustworthiness while
being merchant. Tho, everyone of us creates the reputation by ourselves.

How about giving 50% pick locks or so to explorers? It would make them more
useful, fit the guild, but not overtake the *max* that tigers can get the
skill to.
