This game isn't wow. Making it a rip-off of wow ala dailys is just a bad
idea. Wow has some good ideas and like I've said before, I'm unabashedly in
favor of stealing them. But trying to make this game the non-graphical
version of wow is a terrible idea. The game is insanely challenging as it is
and takes years and years to really do end-game stuff, as compared to wow
where a fucking village idiot can reach endgame in about 6m to a year (esp
with the new wotlk expansion, according to inside info!).

How about we continue striving to find ways to make this game unique. One
thing that I think this game could use more of is active coding by wizards to
retain some level of guild and race balance. Also, i think the END of wizard
sales for exp or cash. I know those are fun, but really, when was it that the
same 10 people didnt win those items? Seriously, what has resulted is an ever
increasing spiral of out of tune players taht make the game increasingly
difficult for "average" players. Obviously this makes people say "fuckit, why
bother, ill never ever get to that level even if i work my ass off" and quit.
When Freld says he can run jane in 20 mins, well lets just put it this way:
try doing jane in 20 mins without a team of dudes with sp toys, swirls,
rockers, shars, etc. Even doing tyra with a average party of like 75-90's is
just pure insane pain (believe me, i know). So i think more emphasis in this
game sould be put on the MIDDLE than at the 20 or 30 players at the top. If
you do that, i think there will be more incentive for players to stick around
here.

Hmm, I seem to be making my point too long and unclear. I'm not suggesting
making this into a wowmud. I'm simply suggesting implementing ideas from it
which makes wow extremely good place to just casually join the fun and
leave when needed. Like for example as a daily quest, could you think of a
better way to get a party started than let's say a quest to the mirkhold
area, where within lies something you need to fetch, certain mobs to be
killed etc. Rewards: gold, some exp, a reward of some sort?
Averagejoe [wanted]: Anyone for daily group q? (mirkhold) need healer+dps

Like Blayke said, now this game is just a bunch of uberbies running
top eqmobs, and the rest doing whatever they can get their hands on.
There is no 'fun and casual playing that actually rewards something'.
Except merchanting and alchemy. Thank you for those guilds.

(and btw blayke, at wotlk launch bliz said that the raid instances
will be remarkably easy and meant for every village idiot. the content
for raiders will be introduced in patch 3.1 (Ulduar). Just like they
did in TBC with the exception that their entry raids were already
challenging.)

Was catching up on news and just thought this might deserve a re-read.
