I was smoking a joint and watching tunes channel the other day when
discussions of greligs came up. I had a few ideas that could answer lots of
the wants of players of greligs. First there could be a 10 level disciple-type
guild called 'holy warriors' or something, instead of spawn you would get a
mount (paladins and templars ive always seen depicted rode horses) to rep up
similar to tzarakk. Without joining the support guilds you wouldnt be able to
do much but ride it around.
Then you would have maybe the 'paladins' which are known for defensive
capabilities and holy auras etc. Maybe the paladins aura could give bonus to
party members hit,saving throws,avoids or some useful things. Paladins can
use axes,lblades,bluds,poles but since they are defensive they can only wield
one of these per shield. They would have some healing powers and some limited
holy blasts and turning.
On the offensive side 'crusaders' or such would be the offensive side of the
holy warriors. They could have an offskill similar to 'rampage' where a lance
of holy magic appears as they charge the mob on their mount and get a chance
to also hit with wielded weapons. They can use axes,lblades,bluds,poles but
unlike the paladins can wield two weapons without a shield. Give them some
holy blasts to smite foes to go with offskills. A skill/spell like 'angelic
possession' could give these warriors some bonuses to stats and damage maybe.
Dunno if they would be holy enough for an aura like paladins.
These we just some random ideas i had, i think there is at least some
potential in there.....
