Please make skill/spelldrain more random. Seems to hit only highest trained (

chance to hit some lower skills as well.
The drain is a "BIG FUCK YOU AND DONT CRY WHILE I RAPE YOUR ASS REPEATEDLY
WITH A SPIKED ANIPIUM MAUL OF UTTER JOY", so making it random would atleast
take the "SPIKED" our of the definition. Also making the targeting more random
would also be fair, ridiculous that backrows are safe from such effects.
Or if you feel that drains are too lenient as is, simply combine it with
forget so it drains everything you have( added bonus if you make the target
lose the totals as well )

*ahem*
In the last four months, Glaurung has been skilldrained 3 times. Once he lost
4% refining to Lord Soth in December. Last week, he lost 1% parry (and I'll
admit that hurt) and 1% cast help to the same monster. This does not strike me
as "spiked anipium maul of utter joy" with a 2/3 chance of missing the vital
stuff.
It would also appear that Yehat would disagree with the claim that it always
takes the most expensive skills. Yehat, for whatever reason, gets drained a
LOT. Once, Wiespe took 2% consider from him. Another time, a nether spirit
took 1% tinning. Now, I don't want to criticize Yehat's choice of reincs, but
if tinning and consider are his most expensive skills, I'd suggest trying
again.
I don't know how best to talk about skilldraining only the tank. I do know
there are a few mages out there missing some cast skills that probably don't
want to be in the front row (skilldrain or not). I will also point out that
undead can cast a spell-drain too, and for them to always target the tank with
that is just counterproductive.
In any event, ask around about skill drains to non-Glaurung sources of
information. You might hear something new.
