Since we have these magnificent details in our game like cooking for example,
which is actually quite fun little stuff to do, would it be possible to maybe
rethink eating a bit. Lets make an example, undeads cannot eat, shadows cannot
eat, spawns cannot eat, now take a look at the playerbase and check how many
mages are vampires/shadows, how many tanks are undeads/liches, and how many
tarmas are vampires/shadows. The issue should be quite clear at this point one
might think? Im pretty confident that vampire can stuff meat in its mouth, and
shadow could devour stuff, and spawn can stuff corpses in it's mouth so why
not a god damn beef jerky. Would maybe make this skill more liked and used if
someone could do something with this small issue. Thank you for listening.
Maybe this should be thought of as an uptune to the "living" races which your
posts suggests are underplayed? I am hesitant to allow the non-eating races of
BatMUD access to food, which would make them, in fact, eating races. Kind of
defeats the purpose. Nor do I have any intention to make undead-only food like
"blood in blood sauce" or "orc tartare". I can't specifically address the
spawn issue, as it's not my code, but they are chaos spawn, so expecting them
to make logical sense runs against the grain.
If anything, I'd be more likely to make a spell that allows undead to drain
the nutrients out of food. Maybe give it to priests or something.
