Why was the 'idea' command ever removed in the first place?
As far as I can guess mortal ideas are (even if not too often) something like:
- Just a minor tweak in this certain area ("please move this blocker one room
farther north, so that the story doesn't get cut off too early")
- Just a little thing in which publicity among mortals wouldn't give the tune
itself any benefit ("Yea yea, just another uptune for the Finns/Americans/the
higbies/lowbies/jews/christians, fuck you!")
- The proposed idea is very exact, straightforward and just a minor tweak
("this is not a bug and it is probably not even a typo, as it is OK in
American English, but does not work out too well as typical Oxford English")
- I have a good idea, but sharing it to every mortal would spoil it the very
same time.
- I have a damn fine idea for this hard-to-get-into room in which I'm standing
in right now! ...and it would take me weeks to try to verbally explain how to
get here! (and only one wizard might be able to fix it - too bad, I don't know
which one)

There were a few reasons why the idea command was removed.
Primarily, with the way the system was utilized, a majority of the ideas
weren't even seen. That and there really isn't a reason to track them in a
huge database with all the typos and bugs, etc., which are all miscategorized
by players anyway due to their inability to differentiate the difference. If
you have something that you want implemented or have a good idea, you should
post it to the news where the 'active' developers are reading stuff on a daily
basis and may take it upon themselves to implement, or you can try contacting
an active wizard who is appropriately categorized in 'help who to ask'.
