Over the past couple of years several players I know have gotten force
reinced. In each case they went to a mob that had an aging special and either
forgot or didn't plan/prevent properly. Two of the dudes managed and are
still playing and I really hope the latest one sticks around. Honestly, can
we really afford to lose players to things like this?
That isn't to say there shouldn't be risk, there should. However, when the
idea of force reinc was put in place the game was a lot different and exp
totals were waaaaaay lower. When was the last time this process has been
looked at, has it even been in this century?
If there was no force reinc then what would be the point of youth? Balance
wise there needs to be something there to keep money changing hands and to
have some risk. So, instead of getting force reinced if you are past the age
limit just hit the player with a 1% total exp tax on death. That will happen
about once, no one wants that.
Feel free to add your thoughts, hopefully constructively. Or not
