A journal page from a party that recently came from out of the Caverns of the
Undying comes to the attention of all.

I pondered the situation as the party rested. The ranger we brought along was
injured severely and the tarmalen was busy attending to his wounds. As she
cast her healing spells over and over I slowly drifted off to my own thoughts.

My master taught me well, to analyze everything, to consider every situation.
He taught me to watch closely as my offensive spells strike and noticed how
certain monsters show a tendency to be more susceptible to certain damage
types.

While I was thinking of the previous round of combat with the gigantic golem
we were fighting, and which damage types I had already used, I leaned up
against the east wall of the old tunnel.

I didnt notice it right away but it gradually came to my attention. A slight
was breeze blowing from between the cracks in the tunnel wall. Turning
slightly I got a good look at the wall from a very steep angle.

I dont know if it was the light from the torches we brought or the light from
the magic items, but from that angle I noticed that the wall was not quite
right. It was the same color and the nearly the same texture, but not quite.

I taped the wall with my staff, lightly at first, then harder and harder until
a large chunk of the faux plaster wall shattered and dropped to the floor.

The tarmalen gave me a dirty look at this interruption to her attending to her
wounded patient, but I ignored her.

The barbarian, that we brought along with, us grunted and pushed me to one
side as he saw what I was doing. He gave me a hard look and swung a great maul
over his head a few times, finally landing a thunderous blow against the wall.
The faux plaster covering erupted in a shower of dust.

I noticed that there was not the predictable stone wall that should have been
there, but fired bricks that appeared to be deliberately placed there.

He struck again. This time I think it was even harder than the first. The
bricks exploded into a black void.

Undeterred, the barbarian kept smashing the bricks until the hole was large
enough for a large humanoid to fit through.

It looked like we were going to let Listar the Forgetful alone tonight. This
was a way we had not yet explored before.

The party gathered and we set forth to see what we found.

(NOTE: dont expect explore from this area, as very few rooms give explore exp)
