I had a revelation this afternoon, and I think I've managed to balance ship
grappling.
For starters, the issue where sunken ships did not break the grappling should
be fixed (should have been for the last week or so? Let me know if you still
see it).
Second, I re-wrote an entire new formula determining the chances of one's ship
breaking a grapple. It should be balanced so that grappling works best roughly
against ships within the same class range. The chances of breaking are also
capped at a minimum and maximum, for safety and fairness.
If this seems to work out better, boarders will make their debut quite soon...
