Beastmasters riding large creatures should be able to give a lift to other
players, perhaps one or two of them.
Let me be the first to extend the olive branch, and open the first
intercontinental Ancient and ENORMOUS blue whale ferry from lucentium to
laenor! Costs are nominal: whale feed and 10% over your current ferry fee.

Heh, yeah, whales are quite good to use as ferries.

As a more serious suggestion: please make it so that there would be some \"fish
tanks\" in the stables near a water room, enabling to store mounts that only
go in the water.

There are some fairly simple ways to get aquatic mounts in stables...

To respond to multiple posts:
-- multiple riders on one mount would proe awkward codewise. Mounts, for most
game intents and purposes, are kind of like eq. Two players sharing the same
eq is tricky to work with. This is mostly in the case of combat, more
specifically, party positisn. I am not sure, for example, how the tank in 1,1
and the tarmie in 3,2 will ride the same rhino (the poor mage in 2,2 will
probably not enjoy it, no matter how ithappens!). I won't say "never" because
the idea makes RPG sense, but I will say "don't hold your breath".

-- Riding a mount and leading one (or more) mounts is a different story
altogehter. I'll look into it when I get the chance.

-- As for stables partially submerged in water, I was already planning on
having some public stables on populated continents. I guess putting them near
the ferry docks (which, at least in theory, are touching water) would solve
both problems at once.

"This is mostly in the case of combat"

I think most people, currently at least, want multiple riders so they can drag
their tankling friends from area to area without them draining EP. If that's
all we are shooting for, just make it instant dismount for who try to combat
mounted when they have no combat riding. You could even penalize the error a
bit by making them loose party place.

But we could get creative and come up with some workarounds. For example, it
would make absolutely no sense to have 2 guys on one mount in combat. Lets
just kick the back guy off if the mount ever gets into combat. Party places
would get messed up? Well, we could just leave eveyrone in their party place,
and let the mount just mark the player as not taking epcost to move...bigger
mounts could do so for more players. That little gazelle would still only be
able to carry a single hobbit though. (I think mounts already have something
saying the max size of a rider? Well, just make all the sizes need to sum up
to less than the max size for that mount).

As for the multiple rider thing, I'd rather just code carts/wagons/chariots/how
dahs/stagecoaches/skiboatspulledbywhales. It'd probably be the easiest way for
all.
