Could spell costs for mage blasts take into consideration what reagent you are
going to use please? Syntax might be something like cast 'lava blast with
power' sera

If you don't provide the "with" syntax then the costs are default values.
Obviously you wouldn't be able to complete a 'with power' cast if you don't
have any power reagents.
