Oh yes, this would take ridiculous amounts of cpu power and
memory to load each room. So please do so that when you frist
run into a mob that ambushes, you get away for the first time.
Or something. It's not fair that people trying to find
something random in the outside world dont have the benefit
of static mobs.

Or atleast make them appear on the map somehow (before
somebody walks into that room and loads it).

Well, I'm usually all for suffeli and shit, but.. in this case, I think it's
too suffeli. Where's the excitement, the danger? Besides, that chimera might
just have camouflaged itself, so you don't see it no matter how hard you try!
And, frankly.. do you really expect someone running around with his head in
his ass at a speed of 20+ rooms a second to be paying attention to chimeras,
dragons and all the other kind of monsters out there? You get what you've paid
for (figuratively speaking).

Also, I think that it's possible to peer into an outerworld room in
order for the mobs to be "loaded". I'm not sure, but I think you
will get to see the mobs if you peer around.
For some reason I seem to always be getting them on map by walking to the next
room. You might wanna look closer

I just did a little test, far from conclusive but peer did seem to do
the trick of making outerworld mobs appear. I don't know if it will
always work but, you would need to do a "look" after the peer to see
the mobs that in the room that you just peered into. When you peer
you won't see any mobs and the map will show a '*' (for you) in the
room that you peer into and a '%' that is you in the room you are
actually in.

You might have the ep for this, but most people running in the wilderness
would rather spend theirs in a more constructive way. This would not work for
merchants etc.

And still, like someone said already, you do see the mob in the next room by
just walking in the room. How much exploring or testing does this unbelievable
task really take? Sheesh.

Ooh, a copypaste from a dictionary. Would you mind copypasting from an equally
creditable source that explain eg. the following: A) A great white shark
performing an ambush in shore where the water is knee-deep for a duck. B) A
huge elephant performing an ambush in plains where the roomdescription says
'there are no hiding places'. C) A single animal performing an ambush when
clearly the animals are proven to hunt in packs, and their preferred method of
hunt is NOT ambush. D) A chimera attacking players in general, chimeraes are
NOT carnivores.

the water that's knee deep to a duck is knee deep to a titan as well. That's
room desc, not grounds for nitpicking. Great white sharks Ambush they're prey
and are coastal predators, I've never ran across, that i can remember, an
aggro elephant, and i've never ran across more of one outerworld mob in the
same room as another. Pretty sure that's intentional. Oh..and 2 of the
chimera's 3 heads are carnivorous.

Luckily you understood 1/4 of the sarcasm-intention in my post... I'll
rephrase the 3/4, want me to quote 'knee-deep' from a dictionary, 'hunting
methods' from animal encyclopaedia and finally 'I'm pretty sure the gay way
ambush works is intentional, there is no rational basis on it and quoting
dictionary on what ambush means is pretty fucking lame'.

Hmm, so you're saying the water is knee deep for a great white shark too? But
sharks don't have knees, so something must bug...
And...the "the water is knee deep", at least in most other water places, is
not actually a hardcoded desc, but instead that figure really is based on the
size of the player...we've even tested this with stables where you can change
the water level. Granted, sprites here are like 12 feet tall or something,
but...titans are much much taller.

A) The shark was tuberiding, d-uh?
B) It was just hanging around but you mistook it for a glacial erratic
C) They are cunning bastards and don't play it by the book
D) Chimeras are not carnivores either. Neither are hobbit highwaymen or drow
assassins. At least when they are vegan.

PS: Credible source says that Chimaeras ARE carnivores: http://en.wikipedia.org
