Look this is just my opinion but here goes: I think this game is getting way
to easy exp wise. At some point you have to wonder whats going on when
everyone, yes everyone is making 1 or 2m a day. I can make 1m now in 2hrs or
less. Thats just wrong. People are putting up iancurtis style numbers,
without much work. Exp once ment a lot. It was a measure of respect. This
game used to be hard and people who were total studs on zombie and EQ and
other lame ass "treadmill" style games would come here become totally addicted
to the challenge. Well now with the rebirth system it seems that exp has
become pretty stupid. Look, im all for rebirth, but as it originally went
rebirth was a system for truly exceptional players to continue playing the
game so we wouldnt lose them. I just dont think that rebirth should be the
standard avenue here. I personally think that rebirth races should be further
tuned to be the same power level as non rebirth races, and the rebirth heal
should be removed. All non-prestige advantages should be removed. And more
focus should be put on wizzing for older players, since old, experienced
players make the best tuners and area creaters (inmho). THe challenge in the
game should be getting to level 100. And if you want to start again, then
rebirth is an option. But it just shouldnt take only 3 months to rebirth and
go back to level 100. There are plenty of lvl 100 people running around now
that i have no fucking clue who they are. And thats kinda weird.

Anyways, my stupid words....blayke

Funny you should complain about rebirth races, given it's the MORTAL races
that are roughly half again as tough as they were in the old days. Remember
oldschool humans and catfolks? Not rebirth's fault that there's really super
races out there that kept their oldschool "inferior" exp rate. Or something
close to it.
However, I don't think races are actually the problem. It's just that the
players are getting tougher and more numerous, while the pond itself is
remaining pretty much the same size. The wizards don't want to lift level 100,
so I dunno what's gonna change, but since they hopefully see this problem too,
something must be going to.

Like Blayke said, exp used to measure something, but today you just can't be
sure. It's almost the opposite: a high level plauer you never heard of is a
sign of incompetence.

We're getting bigger and better each day. Tunes should reflect that and not
accelerate the process. All I'm asking is that the wizzies compensate the
growth by tuning us with an iron hand. Instead of uptuning something, downtune
everything around it.

What makes (made) this game special is the challenge. I don't know if it's the
fact we're trying to get new players or the new breed of MTV-attention-span
immorts or lazy-ass mortals what causes this, but I do know we're losing
something special here. And just like in RL, no-one cares. :)
