Yeah, this is a whine, i make no bones about that, but it's a little different
idea than the typical whine regarding the current exp tune...
I don't care that exp is low, that's fine by me, i can understand both sides
of the high v. low argument.. it's great to make tons of exp for kills and see
your player advance fast, and i love that, but i also understand the argument
that exp shouldn't be too easy to make... if you make it TOO easy then
everyone is level 100 and/or rebirthed 4 times in a week of playing the game
and that's sucky too... balance is key in this issue and right now i don't
think it's so low that the game isn't fun anymore, so that's fine...
My issue with the current tune is the inconsistency of the exp from monster to
monster... an example of this can be taken from my party in lanzia the other
day... we killed a bunch of monsters all around the first side and found huge
disparity between toughness of kill and exp gained... the biggest example was
Kurt Hagleton (i think that's his name, this is all from memory not from a
log) who was around 80k or so before the latest tune on average... we killed
him and got just over 20k and he was just as hard as always.. then we went
into the little church or whatever it is with the priests... polished off a
priest in about 6 rounds of fighting with no trouble at all and got 19k for
that...
now i know people are going to say, "well, just don't fight kurt, he's
obviously not worth it" but i think all monsters that are meant to be killed
should be worth killing... now, it had been a while since any of the party
members had been in lanzia so personal tune definitely isn't to blame, and as
for general tune, i can't imagine any reason why people would be raping kurt
and not touching the priests so i think that is out too... i really see no
reason for the disparity in exp relative to the toughness of the monster...
(btw, i meant to mention this in the paragraph about kurt, but he took us 2 or
3 runs to kill)... anyway, that's just my opinion on the tune, it's not the
amount per monster but the relative amounts that really need to be worked on
imo...
You just described the meaning of a tune in a monster. Yes it should be so
that those monsters that are harder to find, yet easy to kill should be worth
more exp than those that are found at digga's being equally easy. Reasoning
behind this would be that you are killing something not many people have
killed - yet gaining more valuable experience (=more experience).

read a little closer... those monsters are in the SAME area.... both in
lanzia... they're equally as hard to find... get to lanzia and you can easily
find em both without much looking...
