Using guards to trap or kill unsuspecting players that enter to your
city from outworld is prohibited. In practise this means, that you are
not allowed to place aggressive guards to the entrance rooms of your
city, nor are you allowed to use them to block every exit from those
rooms. However, you may (naturally) use guards to block the further
access to the city. Also player killing by summoning players to your
city guards it prohibited.
This is taken from 'help player cities'. I was partying with random people
when I accidentally noticed that I have been attacked and killed with some
guard that for some reason attacked me. According to this rule from the help I
understand that it dictates that player killing with the help of player city
guards is illegal. What will happen to the players who abuse the opportunity
to use city guards wrongfully? Obviously this feature is not controlled
codewise, and I got killed by it, so I I suppose I can think this is a
personal attack towards me as well if I get killed by someone else's
stupidity. By the way, the city was Batsuburbs.

Somehow I died the same way about an year ago. I also reported a wizard (can\'t remember who at the moment, not an arch I\'m sure) and quoted the same help file as Darol did. Nothing happened.
Oh, the guards the cityowner had there did also cast destroy weapon/armour . I talked to her about it and eventually got removed from the enemy list of the guards.
And fucking crap, the cityowners or guard owners should be PUNISHED FOR THAT. I don\'t think Lythlandria is the only one having that kind of guards around in this game, but I havent really met any other.
I have another example of this happening. In Babylon, somebody has set the
guards aggressive to me, directly in line from ocp to west. I\'ve died to these particular guards quite a few times in the past.
When I talked about this in the public, I got the impression that it would be legal to keep certain players in the enemy list of cityguards, even if you can directly walk to them, but having aggro-to-everyone guards in public access places would be prohibited.
I see a point here if the person in question is a known to be a raider of castles, but placing guards in certain critical places (like the example I stated before) that are aggressive to people should nevertheless be banned and the people doing this punished.

To clarify, as I interpret the rule, it applies to the "first" room of the
city. ie any room that is directly assessible from the outerworld should not
have aggro guards and or guards that block the exit out to the outerworld.
By "first room", i mean *any* room that can be entered from the outerworld.
Therefore, more than one "first" room is possible. If you find cities
violating this, you can report to me.
