I am writing as a concerned player regarding the recent updates to Nergal,
specifically the removal of tank minions. While I understand and respect the
need to balance gameplay and make adjustments for the overall health of the
game, I find the timing of these changes particularly troubling.
Just months prior to this update, the reincarnation ticket auction took place,
raising thousands of dollars from players who invested heavily in Nergal
tickets. Many of us chose these tickets with the expectation that the class?s
mechanics, particularly tank minions, would remain a viable and integral part
of gameplay. The abrupt removal of this core feature feels not only disruptive
but also unfair to those who recently committed significant resources based on
the pre-change state of the class.
This sudden shift undermines player trust and raises concerns about the
transparency and timing of significant updates. While we appreciate the
ongoing development and balance efforts in BatMUD, I urge the administration
to consider the impact these decisions have on the community, particularly
when they follow closely on the heels of substantial financial investments by
players.
I respectfully request that you consider either rolling back the changes
temporarily or compensating affected players in some meaningful way to restore
trust and balance.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I remain hopeful that the
development team will address this issue in a way that reflects the
community?s dedication to BatMUD.
