Newbie Friendly Bat

I was thinking of ways to attract more players. I think a lot of the newbie
friendly areas, Pleasantville, Helpers, etc are a good start. However, as I
remember back when I started one of the hard things was the initial
configuration of my environment. There are a lot of things that I now take for
granted using tf that are really helpful and just make playing more easy.
There are a lot of things that most people use such as party reporting during
combat round if you are a tank, prot up/down messages, some common command
aliases for spells, etc.

I'm sure there would be disagreement as to what is necessary and what is not.
However, how about a basic setup for tf and zmud that is maybe guild
configurable that would be available on the website "Playing BatMud" page.
Obviously as someone gets more experienced they may make changes and get more
elaborate. However, this would be a way for people to get started more easily.

Just a thought.
