The more I think about the location/etc tunes, the more I begin to think that
the game perhaps should allow people to save all carried eq over boots with
them, and also that the present location be kept over boot. (it may be too
powerful to keep location within an area, but now that the area is linked to
an outworld spot, could just kick the person to the area entrance).
By enabling people to completely carry/wear/etc items, this enables someone to
login for 20 mins, go kill a monster at the area they were at before, then log
out and repeat day after day. I think that batmud, both in playerbase and even
economy depends on the whole range of no-life 24x7 mudders all the way down to
the 5minute casual mudders...each fills their niche and should be kept.
The possibility of adding more inns would go a fair way towards the flavor
I've mentioned, but it would be hard to place them suitably unless some sort
of player economy could be made around it and let merchants/players place them
in the needed/popular areas.
