hi.
i thought that the current (this is how i think it is, i have no friendly
neighborhood wizard telling me how it really works) alignment system is bit of
overly simplistic. you kill evil mobs->you go good, you kill good mobs->you go
evil.
i have no objection on the good side, goods should get more good by banishing
evil from the world. evil people, on the other hand, are not that simple.
traditionally evil is a synonym to selfish person, and here is the idea. evil
people kill for personal gain, they do not differentiate who they kill, if
there's something in for them it's worth the time.
so, no matter who you kill, you'll get more evil by performing the deed. and
how does one get good? by doing good deeds of course, some examples i came up
with: donating blood at hospital, donating items to damogran. there's a donate
theme here but this is just an idea.
implementing this would make being evil easier, and being good a little bit
harder. but, isn't that how it really is?

Actually, afaik, the alignment works by making you drift toward the inverse
alignment of what you killed, no matter your align. eg if you kill something
that is slightly good aligned, you drift toward slightly evil, even if
you are angelic or demonic. So, if you need to be max evil, and you kill
only slightly good mobs, you will be slightly evil. Of course, I could
just be talking out of my ass.

That's how it works in classic.
