Is it possible to see data about BatMUD's playerbase?
Was/is data even being collected?

The reason I ask is because I'm sure we can do a
better job at advertising BatMUD. But I only assume
this because I think that there are not a lot of new
players. But I don't have the data to prove wether or
not this is actually the case.

Let's go out on a hunch and say that enrollment for
BatMUD has dropped a lot since.. 02? Gradually of course.
You're telling me that MMO's (WoW is dying) are still
taking potential players away? I do believe that
there are people out there who don't know what a MUD is-
and they would love to learn and play MUDs. but they
need to be targeted, and they need to find BatMUD first.

I would offer my ideas and suggestions for advertisement
if administration would care to indulge me.

Seeing as how no one has rated this post or replied
I'm guessing the BatMUD comunity isn't particularly
concerned about the population of the player base.

Here are my suggestions to increase BatMUD players:
1. Professionally shot viral youtube video about BatMUD
2. Professionally printed local distribution of adds
3. Email spam to avid online gamers *pay for email addresses*
4. Word of mouth: Substaincial ingame bonuses for
bringing new players here. make this seasonal.
Every fall (hey people are spending more time indoors).
5. Reach out to science and tech bloggers who might
want to write about such an unusual game format such
as this
