I was thinking about the structure of the bard guild and how many carefully
and sometimes less carefully crafted plays have amassed throughout the guilds
time and wondered..
would it be possible to code a guild that extended the same verification
process and task process to a guild that designs areas? Initial task-quests
would be to design a 1 room alcove or some such.. to be verified by the
head of guild. The guild head would act as a quality control of sorts and
once it has passed his check, maybe a public voting setup .. as simple as
a sign at the start or end of room(s). As the player increases in the guild,
greater tasks are required. Such as a 5 room area with a unique concept..
full dungeon etc.
Possibly the guild could be dreamer-mystics or shadow-realm makers..
The content would require regular players to have a. shadow-sight ability or
dreaming.. which enables them to see the content which is overlayed on
regular bat.
The heart of the idea here is that.. a lot of the plays designed by the
players in bards are more than capable of coming up with some pretty
creative work. By this point, that's a fair amount of content generated
which would help to keep the game feeling fresh.
