following are some practicalities related to the Gala logistics.

First of all, the invitations will be sent over snailmail to anyone who gave a
Finnish postal address. They will go into delivery tomorrow, and should arrive
late this week or early next week.

The envelope will contain only an invatation for you (and if you registered an
avec, them) with a unique QR-code which acts as your ticket to the event. At
the event, your invitation will be read in the ticketing system, and once
confirmed, you will receive an envelope with our Gala stuff (such as a badge,
a lanyard, and perhaps even a few free drink tickets).

The process for non-Finns is a bit different. For you, an invitation has also
been printed, but it will not be mailed as we don't trust even the Finnish
postal service, let alone a combination of that and foreign postal services.
You can get your invitation from one of the precon-events (we'll let you know
which, Darol will probably be Your Man), or even from the venue on the day of
the event. Be prepared to prove your identity. If you don't intend to
participate in any of these, you can get your invitation from the venue with a
valid ID.

If all else fails, or for some peculiar reason you forget your invitation
home, no biggie - you can get your party envelope from the venue with a valid
ID even if you misplaced your invitation. But it's easier for us if you don't
forget it.
