One of the "I'd like to see this" ideas sent to me before Christmas was "there
should be a god reason to fight undead". Now there is, at least a little.
When you die, generally speaking, you lose exp. That exp loss can now be
restored by seeking out and slaying undead. Whoever gets the killing blow on
an undead monster gets bonus exp to counteract that loss. You won't get back,
say, 400k exp by killing a couple of animated corpses. But if you're forced to
take a new body to keep most of your exp, you can regain a bit of the rest by
seeking out strong undead and mulching them.
Since "death exp" hasn't been a factor kept track of until today, only losses
of exp starting at the reboot that just happened count. So most of you won't
notice the change until you die next time.
