+You may now 'sailor signal' your ship from inside an area, to meet you (and
your party) when you get out.
Effective immediately:
+I made some adjustments to the movement algorithms regarding pursuit and
tradelanes. It should be quite less impossible now to catch up to a ship you
are pursuing that has jumped onto a tradelane.
+After studying the spawn statistics of NPC ships for several weeks, the spawn
difficulty of ships has been re-scaled to a wider distribution of class and
difficulty, to go with the following:
+NPC Ships of higher difficulty and class have the chance to pay out in
highcoins instead of gold. Also, new plunder loots have been added to the array
of things that may spawn inside the chests of the captain's cabin. Keep an eye
out for something special in the most difficult of opponents.
Effective minimally at boot, and progressing over the next few boots:
+NPC Ships will now start spawning with a chance to have a whole range of
abilities/features that players do, including but not limited to: Cloaking,
Greatersight, Shield Regen, Reinforcements, forming Armadas to group together,
and other new and improved combat decision-making processes. In short, expect
ships generated from more difficult monsters to be more difficult as well.
Expects the rewards to be more representative of the risk and effort...in both
directions.
Effective next boot:
+You may now partially 'train' exp for Ship Points in the following manner:
100k/block for #1-5, 250k/block for #6-10, 500k/block for #11-15, and doubling
so forth every 5 Ship Points. Unspent, partially invested points will be
returned at reincarnation.
+You may now use credits to purchase Ship Points.
+Task Points may be traded to Ship Points at the ratio of 3:2.
Also:
There is very little public documentation on ships available through the help
command. I am looking for people (still) to write help files for the
following:
*Ships (overview) - what they are, how to get them, and the differences and
features
*Ship combat and plundering - the different aspects of ship combat and what to
do once you board an enemy ship.
*Ship features - A list of all the different ship features and what they do.
*Anything else people would find useful
Contact my before undertaking the above for content requirements and directions
for submission.
