So, i got this cool barding with auto-refit and colours and ton of weight and
what not. I equip it on my mighty griffon and run off to a friendly
folklorist to find out all the cool bonuses it gives to my mount.
And i find it only lowers my mounts off-grade, w/o any effect on def-grade or
AC or whatever...
Could some1 clarify to me how these things are supposed to work or is it just
eyecandy.

Barding flat out lowers the damage the mount takes from all sources. It is not
reflected in any consider-like skill.
