In the first step to overhaul the Merchant Navy reputation system, merchants
will now (after quit+reenter) get a little mnavy reputation for doing
shipwork.
Eventually the 'current' system will be largely downsized and you'll be given
opportunities for reputation elsewhere, more in line with proper mnavy
activities.
What about us non-merchant mnavy people? Do we get a reasonable system to gain
rep, or can we change align while keeping our current rep, or do we need to
start all over again in some other align if we want to keep earning rep? This
compass and other tunes have allready made it slower to gain reputation (since
half the compasses seem to be dead when one after a party reaches the supposed
vessel and it has allready been sunk by someone else wo a compass) ?

Did you read the article at all? Between the first 4 words "In the first step"
and the entire second paragraph, I alluded strongly that more will come.
Clearly I'm not going to let all non-merchants rot, but these ship things take
time. Additionally, why are you complaining about compass tunes if you're
mnavy-aligned? Merchant navy get 0 reputation for tracking and hunting down
compasses whatsoever. Period, zippo, zilch, nada. For the ones who do get rep,
those who have taken the time to find out how the other aspects of combat work
have been more than happy. These changes take time and I'm also a full-time
student, have a full-time internship, a part-time job, training for a
marathon, and training for a physically demanding job. I assure you things are
coming as fast as this one man army can handle.
