As an idea, what if there was a way for alches to rep from making the various
things they do?
Consider the existence of the "philopsher's stone" (actually a powder), a
catalyst that was used in what RL alchemists tried to do and the quality of
which supposedly improved over time and experimentation.

Now, instead of it making one's other things (pills, potions, etc.) better,
what if the quality of the "stone" determined how often an alchemist could
attempt the greatest goal of all alchemy: a philter of youth? That philter
would require many materials and the saved "charge of quality" by other things
made.

We might even be able to work the homonculous into this system, in that
it could be needed to find certain things. Just a thought.

I am available to write up a detailed system for this if desired, just contact
me. Thank you.

Let me say that a rep system is not something each and every single guild 100%
needs to have. Honestly, the constantly increasing XP/gold from formulae has
worked well for some time.

HOWEVER.

This post got a fair number of upvotes, and some of it seems kind of
interesting. I'll give it some thought, and I'm also asking Nyriori to email
me (shinarae_lluminus@hotmail.com) an outline of what kind of system is in
mind. The least I can do is check it out.
