Greetings,

A great difference in length of protective spells complicates job of the party
leader unnecessarily especially when resist dispel is required to used.

I also do believe otherwise valid and quality mages get punished pointlessly
and not selected into parties by time to time because of inferior duration
of protective spells.

Please change effect of the abjurer / conju "reputation" in the way that when
there is more than 1 member of the inner_circle in a same party the length
of protective spells is valued from average of all members
of the inner_circle in the same party instead of the personal one.

What I don't mean is that if member X of the party is very dedicated
to the guild and has gained great numbers in "reputation" a player Y
of the party should be able to cast equal length protective spells with
much lesser personal "reputation".

But what I do mean is that by taking into account the average and leveling
the the duration of protective spells the difference in the duration
wouldn't be so significant and by that way mess up the synchronization of the
casts.

I believe the suggested change would ehance the overall experience of
partying. Altought it would lower the duration of some casters
spells in 9 man parties this shouldn't still be a problem too big.
Afterall we are not talking about anykind of reputation to be taken
too seriously here, more like a sitting contest.
Players who have put a great effort and time to gather this so called
reputation over the years would still be able to enjoy accomplishments
of their well spent hours in smaller parties and solo missions.

In addition to Kiraffi's suggestion:

1) First of all, give us news.inner_circle newsgroup for these ideas. Pretty
please?

2) In stead of "normalizing" all sticky prots, how about a spell "refresh
magical protection" that works like resist dispel: enables you to refresh the
duration of a conjurer prot even if it's sticky.

3) Please make air shield refreshable

I actually like the idea, make it a long cast and maybe like refreshing 1 prot
costs 1x the usual prot cast, 2 prots costs 1x+2x, 3 prots 1x+2x+3x etcetc so
it does not make it too suffeli :)
