*igers get pick locks, acid_mages get lock biter, liberators get locksmith
ghosts, maybe Rangers and Merchants could get some form of lockpicking as
well? Would at least bring that attribute to every background.

Rangers get high strength and ep regen and can just pry boxes open. The
concept of rangers does not traditionally lend itself to learning a skill
about complex mechanical devices.

The idea of merchants being locksmiths has come up before. I've been tempted
to do it before, but I've also seen locksmiths operate. It's not fast and they
bring a bunch of tools. So, just a heads-up on that one, if I do it you'll
want to free up some chest slots.

I was moreso thinking along the lines of basic low level locks on doors, and
thematically Rangers make the most sense. As far as boxes go, the only problem
I see with those is that 100% of them are trapped and those statistics really

I would rather say give it to archers. Rangers are people living in the woods
of the lands at campsites and tents, they have no need for doors so they dont
have a need for locks either. To archers it would fit thematically since they
operate some machinery anyways, like heavy crossbows etc.
