random idea so.. feel free to tweak it to make more sense.. or ignore it

Hypothetically there's an aged Folklorist in Arelium who has heard of
the mythical blade of Y'golonac. Shattered and lost to the ages..

The NPC puts you on the track of assembling the pieces of a randomly
generated piece of eq from various game elements. Whether they're an
automatic rare.. ultra rare? drop from these elements that you can try
to buy from others or.. named and you have to farm them yourself can
be decided as to what makes more sense.

where you find them?

1 piece from bead map area chests-
1 piece from ship chests-
1 piece from shin-deso dungeons chest-

you get the general idea. Alternatively, if you wanted to make it more
complicated, you could add in elements of certain guilds.. that is,

1 piece in Merchant minecraft special area chest-
1 piece in nun relic map..chest? haven't done nuns so that's a guess.

These required pieces could be supplemented with various fetch items of
moderate value/ difficulty as well..

1 infinity orb
1 superb or better shard.
1 red organ

If you wanted to keep it interesting, you could incorporate a checks and
balances element into the eq. Each piece could come with a soft bane and
a soft boon.. newly designed.. or not.
for example- eq has invokeable 1x per however long tp without error.+
eq is bloodthirsty and if it doesnt get enough kills..
invokeable becomes tp with error, then banish.

or just ignore this paragraph?

WHY you ask? we have too much eq already!

Randomly generated eq with the potential for interesting combinations..
ie- loot chests are motivators for long term grinding. IT's cheap gaming
but it might keep some players motivated.

IF that's a shitty reason then.. it's a means to motivate players to
check out elements of the game that might be neglected for various
reasons. Upping the interest in Merch-dungeons, Shin-deso dungeon etc.
whatever part might be not as popular or maybe just unknown by that
particular player.
