hmm, reminds me of a tv-show i saw recently... Canadian reporter : "do you
think canada should get a naval fleet even though we don't have a coastline?"
American citizens didn't react to that, the replies were different though.
That was just one example, pretty much the whole show was to show how little
americans know about other countries than their own, mostly canada though

that is a ridiculous example, do you think it actually makes for good TV to
show allt he people that told the report he was an idiot or to go fuck
himself? Well actually, imho that would make good TV, but my point is I can go
interview 1000 people and then pick and choose the ones that display the
behavior I am looking for.

I mean, for instance, that example you gave leads me to believe Canadian
reporters are idiots.

FYI: The show was a skit on 'This Hour has 20 Minutes', called
'Talking to Americans', and yes, they surely picked and chose who they
talked to, thus its not indicative of _all_ Americans. However, I
happen to deal a lot with Americans (with avg education, lets say highschool)
as part of my job, and almost every one _appears_ to be ignorant about
basic geography and/or Canada. I've lost count of how many people who
have asked me if 'British Columbia' (my province) is located near the
equator, ie by Columbia. On the other hand, I feel that most Canadians
would know at roughly what latitude say .. Delaware was. I think this
illustrates both the sorry state of education in the States, and also
ttxx force absorp down (12m 49s)
cultural differences (ie learn about America, not the world.)

They showed very many ppl, even smart ppl, that didn't agree with the
reporter. But, well, i think they showed the real "yank". Tell me he didn't
