Could you for once stop thinking about exp as something you are entitled to
gain in large amounts. Experience by definition is something you have
experienced. Isn't it logical, if you think about it, that people who learn
about special, remote places are more experienced than people who do things
exactly the same as about everyone else in the world does. g 6
In the gameplay point of view, things get more interesting as experience being
made as some kind of production stops, and you would really have to work for
your experience. That's really something worth thriving for, since we do have
a much more versatile world than digga's area and some duzes in this game. The
strength of this game has always been its challenges, it's about time the
challenge level is again checked - and with all the new guilds - it should be
checked upwards.

This doesn\'t belong in flame, but at least you can now flame me for using the wrong newsgroup... :)

I totally agree.

Thing is, all the guilds and experience costs on bat have been carefully tuned for a situation where infinite amounts of experience (given enough time and patience) are available.

If experience becomes a finite resource, the total available experience and total cost of guilds etc have to be in balance.

You can also think of experience as a sort of monetary unit. If experience becomes harder to get, its value in relation to other currencies (money, services, equipment) goes up. In a sense, those with a lot of accumulated experience (highbies) become richer and those with very little (newbies) become poorer.

So, go hum a happy little tune and kill some monsters...the alternative is to sit back and watch others do it. (I haven\'t killed anything in months now.)
