Your current factions that have been affected:
Red_tides
Batcity
Beastlands
Treevillage

Kind of like saying:
I <verb> current faction system.
I <verb> playing batmud.
I <verb> hitting my head on wall.
(Here the verb describes my feelings toward the subject.)

Either improve the system (from mortal view) or delete that
useless "show factions" command. There are good and working
faction systems in other games (everquest, icesus, etc), this
just doesn't really do that.

-Era Of the giant race

PS: I do have some suggestions (mostly copies from eq though),
if anybody's even remotely interested :)

On behalf of the implementor I could clarify a few things before some
well-known archwizard comes up with long promised helpfile :)

Factions were never meant to be like icesus or everquest in the first place.
The faction system in here is totally, and i wanna stress this work here -
_TOTALLY_ under control of a certain area coder. If Pahvi wanted Red_tides
faction to affect the level of erection of the elephant in red tides' zoo -
fine, let it do exactly that. If Malar wanted to determine how far beasts
would run from you or how many beasts would friendly hump you - also fine.

The initial idea of factions wa never to code X predefined relations between
cities/provinces (Icesus) or generic monster races (DaOC). There are more
examples, naturally.

Hence, to stress it out once again. If a certain faction is not documented (by
the means of helpfiles or some area content) and is made publically visible -
well, talk to the coder and see what you can work out together regardin _that_
_particular_ faction.

I hope I made my point clear here.
Thank you.
