skill and spell training system got modified a bit. Skill and
spellmaxes got an 'uptune', skill percents over 90 got more
expensive, and a partial training system was introduced for
expensive percents.
Racial skill- and spellmaxes were changed so, that now you can
train/study everything to your guild's maximum with increased
cost for percents over your racial max. For example, full ranger
with skillmax 74 can train mastery of bladed fury to 100, but
percents over 74 cost more than what it would cost for higher
skillmax (and same skillcost).
It was also changed that skills / spells are more expensive
from 90 to 100 now, the reason behind this was that it should
not be a 'rule' that most of midbie+ characters have now every
vital skill/spell 100. It is not intentional to downgrade you
brutally, so if you know a skill / spell that does not work
_PROPERLY_ (use common sense) unless its trained 100%, please
report it so it might be fixed.
Experience cap of training cost was removed also, and partial
train system was introduced: You can train and study skills
in chunks now, one chunk costs you 300k exp, but only 250k
of it will be used for the training. The remaining 50k is lost,
to make it possibly worthy to take a risk and train the whole
percent at time.
Mortis grants everyone 3 (three) experience and money free
reincs, for a testing period of one week, ending at tuesday
10.02.2004 boot. The command to request the free reinc is
'freereinc' at Mortis.
Balance amongst the different races might suffer from this, you
can consult Shardik & Juggelo for this part.
Report bugs in the new system to Zin. New cost-tune issues are handled by
Brock.
