a new experimental feature is in the game (well, it may require
a quit & re-enter) - powerhours(tm).
So here is how it works - in every boot, the moment you make your
first points of experience, your personal timer will start ticking
(tic, toc, tic, toc, you get the drill). During the first hours of
play you will score significantly more experience for kills, which
will gradually decrease down to the normal exp rates.
So why is this done? Because many players are unable to spend 10+
hours per day playing Bat, and we want to make it possible for them
too to feel they are making atleast some progress. Naturally people
are able to play 10+ hours per day will still have an advantage, but
atleast that advantage isn't quite as linear.
Does this make sense? Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk,
but Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now, think about that.
That does not make sense! Why would a Wookiee -- an eight foot tall
Wookiee -- want to live on Endor with a bunch of two foot tall Ewoks?
That does not make sense!
Besides, this feature is utterly experimental and if it leads to
riots, warts or sweaty feet, we will probably remote it once the
trial period is over.
