Hi,

Pahvi and I coded a little something called Pleasantville during
the last months. Pleasantville is a village located a bit northeast
from the City of Bats, and new characters will be transported there
when they enter the realms. The village has all the basic services
and a bunch of helpful NPCs, and a rumour has it there's a decent
sized dungeon right below it.

Now for the bad news!

Pleasantville is restricted for players at 500k total experience or
below. Registered Newbie Helpers are however allowed to enter and
there is an exception; every first day of a month the village is
open for you all, RL time, EET.

If you find a way into Pleasantville (and it is not 1st day of the
month), you have found a bug. Report it to Pahvi or me, do not abuse
it. Helpers are encouraged to spend time in the village, especially
if newbies are afoot Helpers are strongly adviced not to try to
help other people into the village; they will risk their status
doing this.

This village and what goes with it were created because BatCity is
nowadays rather confusing for a newcomer and often also quite
perilous.
