As mentioned earlier (inform last), B.A.T. Ry bought new CPUs for the
actual BatMUD server; replacing the 'old' Athlon MP 1900+ CPUs with the
new Athlon MP 2600+ ones. The 'old' CPUs were put on the other server
that runs HCBat (it had the Athlon 1200 ones).
The upgrade went well, if not exceedingly well.
Our next hardware upgrade will most likely include buying a whole new
server of the 'next generation' level, being currently introduced by
various hardware (chip) manufacturers.
