I would like to point out one side of this tune that I am not sure was
considered.

That is reinc, now lets assume that you are a mage and have collected nice
+int and +spr sets with your name. This is really nice you have bonuses and
your eq does not break.

After few years it starts to feel like you could try nomad barbcrimson. Now
there are two options, you can either sell/trade your current eqset to some
nice off/def set and see it break down at some time. This might really not be
so bad myt the idea is unbearable so you wont give up your named eq. Instead
you must scrape some newbie set and start doing whole set all over again.
This is very fine if you reinc from caster -> tank once in 3 years. Now
lets assume that you want to do it in 3 month cycle, it would be plainly
impossible. So basicly you cant change your class in any major way fast. This
makes people stay in same class and it is boring.

And why should someone be allowed to change from mageconju to barbcrimson in 3
months interval? Because it is fun and really only reason why batmud is
better than other games.
During those few years you might want to put some tank eq's also in chest just
in case. Or stay a bit longer in that reinc and make a few more pieces
yourself. You don't need to sell those casteritems or do you? What's wrong if
you have 2 separate eqsets? I have and i won't sell.
It takes 2x as long to collect 2 sets than just one.

And to add the point was that people want to change classes often it is _the_ thing that makes this game better than the rest atleast in my opinion.

Reincin from guild to guild is already punished with all sorts of rep systems now this makes it totally impossible. You must stay in class for years to gather several sets and then you can start playing for fun. So basicly to be able to play freely you need spr, sprswap(for hybrids), int, wis, dam, def sets atleast. Before you could just sell old one(s) and buy new one(s) but no longer. Before you needed max 3 sets (maconju needs int wis and spr) to play any guild.

Now you might wonder why you cant change sets if you are willing to forget the fact that it will eventually rot away. You can but changing sets alone is impossible. You need someone else willing to do it also. This makes it very very hard. And altought the rot rate might not be bad just the idea is enough. Like look how cheap alc rings are just because they last limited time altought the time is quite long.

Final point i have played this game over 4 years and my set starts just and just be bearable so i can do some eq. If we would have had this eqrot from start i would not have even it and i still could not do eq.

This is an 'agree' post, I know, so don't bother to flame for flame. But I
feel like I just HAVE to say this tune sucks elephant dick. I spend long years
collecting money for eq, then that eq starts rotting. I feel like my effort in
this mud has been wasted (sure, playing a game instead of living rl IS a
waste, but I'm talking more specific to this mud). Lately all major tunes have
served to screw the casual player in the ass, and this one doesn't even serve
the nolife mudder either - before you could get enough money for decent eq,
and after that you could spend some time 'rocking', a fair reward for spending
your time playing the game. Now after getting the eq you have to start
thinking how to acquire a new set of the same or how to get your own name
decent eq for another guild. I don't have the exp/opportunity to get the same
eq with my name, so I'm stuck with the rotting ones. It's pretty much the same
as was introducing city taxes - before you could log off the mud for a
prolonged period of time and you could be sure things would be pretty much the
same for you when you got back. Now if you leave for a few months' vacation,
when you get back you have to feverishly start collecting money to pay those
taxes. What's the point? To reduce the fun casual players were having? This
tune is exactly the same, in that it removes a lot of pleasure from playing
it, because it makes a lot of people suck more.
