Today, I casted Go for ten (10) times, and managed to travel from
far east side to middle of the map in a horizontal line. It took me
some 5000 sps and a shitload of time. Now, I just jumped from NW corner
to far SE corner with 200 sps. I find this most disturbing.

Understood my point incorrectly you have.
Too much variety in the Go spell there is, no logic there is.
