Yes, I know Blayke's post is a week old - that shows how often I play here. I
just wanted to add my two bits to his thoughtful post - I too am a NA player
who's been here for many years now. Thinking back over my years here, I had
the most fun when I was able to do eq. Although I had a _little_ more time to
mud then, the big difference was power ratio between player & monster. At
level 50ish, I was doing midbie eq like wendigo amulet, staff of elements etc.
that is now considered 'crap' - yet at that time it was profitable. Because
it was profitable it was fun. However, I've long since (at least a year or
two) given up doing eq. Getting a 'kickass' party together like Blayke talks
about is very difficult for me (time slot problems) , and the high failure
rate makes exp parties much more fun. Thus I lose out on an aspect of fun in
this game.
