As some many have asked and I just am wishing to stem the flow of all the
questions, this is what happened:

I had quite a bit going on in Reality (that thing you get after using the
'Quit' command), including a wonderful new baby Girl (my second!). I had not
been coding much at all on BatMUD. I had no intention of 'retiring', I was
just taking a break. The powers that be, justifiably and understandably, did
a Wizard Purge. I obviously met the criteria to be purged in the Wizard
Purge.

I did speak to one Archwizard who was very nice and gracious. The sentiments
expressed were of a nature I suppose I could have expected: they went out of
their way once before and didn't feel to good about doing it again. This
Archwizard was very cool about it, even gave me my correct name back. I very
much do wish they could have made an exception, as I prefer to code more than
play, but as much as I wish it I can also see their side of it.

For now I am a player. I never intend to stop playing here, I have been here
longer than most people playing now, and even in the days of UT/Quake/ect,
find myself drawn back to the fun and friends of BatMUD.
