Earlier today I expressed an opinion that Kniga was an offensive name.
In english language 'kn' is always pronounced 'n' as in knight.
Therefore Kniga appears to be pronounced Niga easily interpreted as Nigger,
which is a racial slur.
I expressed my opinion on newbie channel because that is where Kniga was
listening, and as Kniga was 1st level at the time, that was an appropriate
place to discuss the rule for 'Silly names'
As typical, a large number of players proceded to attack me, as will happen
after this post.
As a solution for this problem, Shardik in his infinate wisdom chose to remove
player helper status for Laaban and myself.
His reason and I quote: 'also i revoked lythlandria's and laaban's helper
statuses, enough of this quarreling over every goddamn thing and especially on
this channel'
My grieviences are two. I still find Kniga to be an offensive name. Second,
Shardik appears to want to prevent arguements, however I've never provoked an
arguement with Laaban, and I don't see how removing my helper status or
Laaban's will prevent arguments on channels.
