I really feel sorry for the newbies nowadays. With nav trees removed, you
either walk to your destination or you have a nav friend. And newbies dont
always have nav friends, which means they walk. Which means they run into all
these nice aggro outerworld monsters AND have to deal with the fact that half
of batmud's roads have been flooded over.

I, an experienced player, was unable to walk from Shadowkeep to Donaru as a
level 10 nomad. I tried several times, and just kept dying. If an experienced
player can't do it, then how the hell is a true newbie supposed to pull it
off? Yeah sure I could get some nav to summon me there no problem. But a real
newbie might not be able to.

And while I'm on a rampage, let's talk about level quests. Many of them talk
about some village, or abbey, or bereaved king...but give NO indication as to
where this quest might be at. I submit that if a story is circulating about
the poor monks at St. Patric's Abbey or wherever else, that the general
location of said Abbey should probably be available as well. For Kobold Staff
(lq 9) for example, a simple "Southwest of Batcity, West of the Ranger's
guild" would at least give these poor clueless newbies something to go on.

My point is, this place need to be made a bit newbie friendlier - it's not
reasonable to give newbies tasks (quests, newbie areas, etc) and then not give
them the resources to achieve these tasks. As it stands, most low level quests
are done by reincing midbies with parties of their friends. And that's not the
intent, is it?

Tsk,

Sufficient information about low level levelquests (and even
transports to given areas, ooh) are already given, and have
been for a while.

The difference between an experienced player at lvl 10 during a reinc,
and a newbie at lvl 10 without a reinc - is granite posts.
Newbies can use these posts to get to the newbie areas, and yes, this
also includes St Patrick's Abbey.
I would say that these posts are very newbie friendly, and you are
probably just slightly pissed off that you couldnt take advantage of
them ,>
