The personal exp tune was a very good idea, thanks to whomever the credits
should go. However, it seems not balanced yet. These are my ideas how to
improve it:
1) The exp gained from an area is back up far too fast. It still enables
the same kind of running-through-areas with a party as before, as long as
you know 3 or 4 areas. So, my idea is to make the exp get back to original
level or close to it only in a couple of days / a week, not in 12 or 24
hours. As it is now, a player (like most of the players here) who only
plays few hours a day has no effect on the tune since they can do the same
area every day without much penalty.
I don\'t know if it\'s meant that people can just do exp for the whole
week 24/7, but this change would also work against constant expmaking
forcing hc-players to do something else (like quests, eq, whatever).
2) Take the old tune system back, in a way that it works as a parallel
system - personal tune is counted from the exp worth of a monster that is
counted from the old tune system - perhaps the old tune system would be
uptuned a little bit to avoid unnecessarily small expworth of monsters.
This way the people who have found out the secrets of more rare areas
could be awarded too.
Thank you for your attention, Nargar.
Well I envision the personal tune system as a method for preventing the "hard
core" players from impeeding the casual players ability to find decent kills.
I don't think the intention of the tune was ever to force even the casual
player to do different areas each day. If you only play and hour a day and you
wish to do the same area each day, I do see that as a problem. IF you wish to
play 16 hours a day and wish to do the same area for all 16 hours then that
will impede the guy who wishes to only play for 1 hour and do that area.
Ugh, this editor sucks and I am too lazy to edit my post, I meant to say if u
only play an hour a day and wish to do the same area each day, then it is NOT
a problem.
