I think that's a great idea, as for the splitting up of the amounts, it seems
to me that the most equitable way to do it would be by % of reagents at that
price in the exchange. An example of this is as follows: Merchant A has 3000
reagents for sale at a given price, Merchant B has 2000 reagents for sale at
that same price and Merchant C has 1000 reagents for sale at that same price,
thus Merchant A has 50% of the reagents at that price, Merchant B has 33% of
the reagents at that price, and Merchant C has 17%... As long as no one else
puts more reagents for sale (at which point the %'s would obviously be
recalculated) anytime someone makes a purchase from the exchange 50% of their
purchase comes from A 33% from B and 17% from C...
There would be a slight issue with rounding, but that could be solved by
calculating %'s for all but the lowest % merchant, and then giving the
remaining part of the sale to that merchant... hope this is clear, i just woke
up and it might not sound right... i'll repost or whatever if necessary

...
Anyway, I just want to say that I liked Dwilgar's idea a lot, it makes more
sense than the way it is now and think it deserves some consideration (same
could be done for mineral exchange actually) as it really does help control
merchant competition to a degree...
