There could be two different types of membership in synod: a real member and
an assistant member.
The real member would have all the current benefits from membership: guardian
angel, wrath and ability to put an indugence. She would also have the ability
to recite the scrolls and start prayers.
The assistant member would not have the benefits of guardian angel, wrath and
indugence. But would have the possibility to start prayers and recite scrolls.
For this assistant membership to count towards the elder requirement, the
assistant would _HAVE_ to hold a certain amount of prayers and recite a
certain amount of scrolls (an idea courtesy of someone else).
The selection for these posts would differ a bit
Real members will be the top-3 on synod plaque.
For the assistant membership, the top-3 non-elder would be selected, unless
they are already selected for real membership. In this case the next non-elder
on plaque would be selected instead.
This would solve the current problem, when we have the synod consisting mostly
on elder-nuns and preventing non-elders to gain the elderhood requirements.
Also this would not downgrade the already elder-nuns in any way.
