hmm..dunno if this has been suggested and it might be sort of rude, but could
there be a variable added to ignore to ignore a friends list? ever had one of
those days where you want to play but just don't feel like talking to anyone?
it's rude not to reply but with ignore and a message (i.e. not in the mood to
talk to anyone, etc) it could be a little less rude.

It works for me normally.
