As I see it, the biggest disadvantage for us without task points is that we
cannot buy them. I would like to donate money for B.A.T. ry now that I've been
playing this game and come to like it. I find it only fair to help the
organization, but I don't want to pay some 1000 euros for a game! That's
completely absurd, and though some people have done it most of us never will.

So, do not downtune boons but make it possible for players who started playing
after the donations were closed, or who didn't donate back then, to actually
buy some task points. For example, open donations for a week every year or
something like that. For some players not to become too powerful you could
even make some restrictions, i.e. just inform that task points won't be given
to players over x amount of task points already during these donations.

As i started playing about 1995 and we donated that time - we really did it
for this mud to survive! TPs were a rare treasure. What anoys me, is that
people claim gimme gimme gimme. Cant you just shut up? It has always been that
TPs will be granted as a thank from the organization. Just sit still and wait
for the hardware to burn up and you will get your chance!

You all act like children! Look mamma!! Kal has some TPs - I also WILL WANT
GIMME some,..... jesus grown up.

Also 'old' players didnt donate the first day! We also waited years,.... thats
the way it is like it or not. But please pretty please stop whining that you
cant afford TPS.

Yes, I'm sure that people who borne like 50 years are as much annoyed as you
are about boons, that now the kids have toys, tv, cartoons when in their youth
they had one sock with buttons as eyes to play with. World changes, people
change and even batMUD changes, if you haven't noticed. Just because some
thing was like it was 8 years ago it doesn't mean it has to be that way now.

Oh, and here's the real Idea Wanted: Some option for us to reply to threads in
one newsgroup so that our reply would show in another newsgroup. This post is
a reply to ideas wanted post that should be in flame, like this post should
too.
