How about making it so, that if one has hp's at max, he/she/it wouldn't die
from one single attack/blast, no matter how much it does damage. If I have
260/260 hp, and get hit by 1300dam spell or critical hit, I would still have
1/260hp left. But of course, if I had 259/260, then I'd die. And yes, if a
monster crits, making my hp go 1/260 and then hits again during the same
round, I would die of course.

But if a monster chps your head off, you will die?

Not necessarily, since I've impaled monsters, made their hearts explode,
shattered their ribcages with my hands coming out from their back and yet they
won't die from these attacks, so why would a decapitation be any different?

Thats a good point. But as someone (was it stalgrad?) replied to my post about
undestroyable doors, maybe you can consider all batmud monsters as somekind of
super-magical creatures who won't die even if their brains are bashed out =)

No, no, no. Suppose you get a building dropping down on your head. You die.
Splat. And zap would not work either! Now take it to bs. ;)
