of late there has been a lot of talk about keeping newbie channel to new
players. perhaps there could be a #questions' channel for those more
established players who just have to ask that burning question.
just an idea. I know there are ss channels and i suppose wanted could be used,
but just so there is no conflicts of oppinion a clear definition between
channels would be good. I in no way intend this to mean a 'quest spoiling'
channel, just a place for players who are too old to ask their questions on
newbie, and too young to know everything about the game.

Newbie channel is not for newbie question it is for _newbies_ questions. There
are myroad of other channels you can ask at. The reaseon people use newbie
channel for their questions is because it is moderated. You won't get laughed
at or maken fun of ect because thats against the rules of that particular
channel. However most of the "newbie" questions aksed by higher lever players
make very little or no sense at all for the REAL newbies, that are the ones
that are just learning how to play this game.

So use some other channel instead. help channels stats it clearly.

On the other hand, one reason for why even "older" players use the newbie
channel is because they know that this is a sure place to have experienced
people, who are willing to help with all kinds of questions, see and answer
the question. Besides, since I believe all smart newbies who are interested in
learning more about the game have the channel on, they might also learn
something new. Pfuff! Long sentences. I hope I got my point across regardless.

Your points comes through loud and clear, however it is also trivial.
'help channels' lists rules, not wishes or suggested batiquette. Deal with it.

There are some level 100 players who use it for questions, and this saddens me
a bit - our game has definitely become too easy if a level 100 player
willingly labels himself as a newbie, not putting an weight on his
achievements here.

Read chapter one of my response carefully, (especially the last three-word
sentence) if you feel like stating more justifications for why the moderation
should end.
